Chicken Soft Tacos

So here is another very simple but tasty recipe.

Chicken Soft Tacos

Frozen Chicken Breast
1 can of Roteal
1 pkg of Taco Seasoning
Soft Taco Burritos
What you desire to put on top of tacos

Take frozen chicken breast ( I use 2 large one's for our family of 5 or 4 large one's when company is joining us) and place in crock-pot. Pour 1 pkg. of Taco Seasoning on top of chicken. Then pour 1 can of Roteal on top. Cook on high for 6 hours. Once done shred chicken with forks (it will fall apart) then place in tacos and enjoy.
I have cooked this chicken and eaten it with soft tacos and we have also used the chicken for chicken nachos. Be creative and enjoy something tasty and simple!!

Fun and Good Recipes!!

So here are two of my favorite but simple recipes!!

White Chocolate Popcorn
1 1/2 pkg. of white or vanilla almond bark
3T of peanut butter
2 bags of microwave popcorn (popped)- not a butter flavor
16oz. jar of roasted peanuts
3 cups of Rice Krispie Cereal

Melt almond bark with peanut butter then pour over dry mixed ingredients (in a large bowl). Mix very well. Pour spoonfuls onto waxed paper. Let it set then break apart. Store in air tight container.
Enjoy!!!

Chimichangas
8 flour tortillas- burrito size
Lipton Taco rice and ingredients on back of package
3 Large chicken breast
Shredded mixed cheese
Chili Powder
Ground Cumin
Oil

I first boil the chicken breast for 30 min. While this is cooking I cook the taco rice according to package, place to side when done. When chicken is done I place on a plate and season with chili powder and ground cumin. Then shred chicken with fork. Now it's time to layer. Lay the burrito flat. First apply taco rice in middle. Then add chicken and cheese. You can fill as much as you like, I just try to estimate about how much I have of each to make sure I have enough. I then fold the outsides of the burrito in first then the top and bottom. You should now have what looks like a chimichanga. Now add a little oil to cover the bottom of a small frying pan. Turn stove on between low and medium. Place chimichanga in pan and allow to fry until golden brown (this should only take a few minutes or less on each side). Be careful not to burn yourself as I have done many times!!

Enjoy!!!

Carnival Party

This party was so much fun!!! My sister-law and I had a lot of fun doing this party for our boys for their 3rd birthday. I know I am posting this really late and will soon be planning another fun party but many have asked to see pictures so I figured I would put them up. All the games were made by hand and so cheap and easy to do. Now I don't want to act like I made them all myself, my parents helped a lot because all of you that know me know that I do a lot of things last minute (one of the qualities my mom loves about me...lol). We rented out a pavilion for $25 and set-up different stations through-out with each game. As each child arrived we had sacks sat-up at a table for them to color and decorate with carnival stickers. They were then each handed tickets for each game station. After each game they got a prize. We had tons of stuff from candy, to bouncy balls, to kites, to many different toys.

Here is a game that Jasmine is playing where they have to throw the balls in the cup. For the younger kids they just had to get it in a cup. For the older kids we made it more of a challenge and they had to make it into a red or blue one. Each one got three balls.

Here we just nailed buckets that I got for a dollar at Party America to a piece of wood. They then had to try and get the bean bags into all 5 buckets. Of course the littler kids would stand wherever to make it in (as Anton does in this picture..lol)

This next game we took used pop bottle and put balls on top and they had to squirt them off. The kids had a lot of fun with this one!!
Of course you can't have a carnival party without popping some balloons! I took a box and covered it with fun wrapping paper. Then blew-up tons of balloons and covered the box. Another favorite!!

We also did face painting which was a big hit!!! Below is a picture of De'Von (my son) and his girlfriend Kennedy...lol.

Other fun games we did included toss the hula hoop around the tiger (which was a stuffed tiger sitting in a chair). We had a basketball game and used my kids standing basketball goal. We did a ring toss ( I used 2-liter bottles and filled them with water, then they just tossed the rings on there). There was another card board game where it was slanted and we nailed 3 buckets into a triangle shape and they had to get the ball to stay into the bucket (this one was fun but a little hard). Also we took a baby pool and filled it with water and used are ducks from a game at home and had the duck pond game. I actually found my daughter Jayla sitting in this pond a few times. I can't blame her, it was a hot day:) My sister-in-law got a book on making balloon animals and did a great job.
For food we had pizza and each person also got a container with pop-corn on it filled with popcorn to take home. For the cake I went simple but cute and got a clown cupcake from Walmart.
This party turned out great and was so easy!! I think it was one of the funnest parties I've ever done and the cheapest!!

A POST!!!!

Okay so I am finally going to post!!! This will be a big deal to my friend Karissa that set this blog up for me over a year ago!!
I am actually getting a little excited about doing a blog I just hope I can keep up with it and figure it all out. I hope to have a little bit of everything on here, from: my couponing deals, to different recipes, to fun sayings from the kids, and just an update on life. I guess I'll just have to see how it all goes!!! Wish me luck!!
On a fun and proud note: Today while talking with the kids about the true meaning of Easter, I was talking with Jasmine, my 5 year old, about how Christ died for our sins. Before I could even finish, she said, "Mom I already know this. According to the scriptures Christ died and rose again 3 days later." I was so impressed and so excited that she knew the true meaning!! And I also thought it was quite funning how she tells me "according to the scriptures."
Well until we meet, have a great day!!
